This might sound outlandish. Presumptuous. Overhyped.
But the facts don’t lie.
Tom Peters wrote In Search of Excellence with Bob Waterman Jr. Ten million copies sold worldwide. An empire built on one book.
Stephen Covey wrote The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. Forty million copies. That book defined a generation’s approach to productivity.
Napoleon Hill wrote Think and Grow Rich. One hundred million copies sold. One book. Infinite impact.
Tony Robbins didn’t start with a $620 million net worth. He built it with books – Unlimited Power, Awaken the Giant Within, Money: Master the Game. Each one opened another door.
Then there’s Alex Hormozi. Three books. $100M Offers. $100M Leads. $100M Money Models. Over 3 million copies sold. He didn’t build his empire despite writing books. He built it because of them.
You could do the same.
What a Book Actually Does
Most people think a book is just a book. Words on a page. A nice accomplishment.
They’re thinking too small.
A book opens doors. It projects credibility. It becomes your calling card in rooms you haven’t even entered yet.
But that’s just the beginning.
One book can become many products
You can sell it in multiple formats – hardcover, paperback, Kindle, Epub, PDF, audiobook. Each format reaches different people.
You can create a course from your book. A chapter becomes a module. Your book becomes a curriculum.
You can create PLR (Private Label Rights) versions. Let others resell your work.
You can use a chapter as a lead magnet. Free value that captures emails.
In extreme cases – if you do it right – you can turn your book into a movie. JK Rowling did it.
But here’s the most important part: unlike courses, books never go stale. They don’t need updates or maintenance. They sell today the same way they sold ten years ago.

The Real Money
Let me show you the math.
Imagine you wrote five books. Not five years from now. Just five books.
Each book sells ten units per day at $10 each.
Here’s what that looks like:
Number of books: 5
Units sold per book per day: 10
Average selling price: $10
Days per month: 30
Months per year: 12
Calculation: (5 × 10 × 10 × 30 × 12) = $180,000 per year
That’s from conservative estimates. Ten units per day per book is achievable if you know what you’re doing.
Now convert that to Naira. At current rates (N1,250 = $1), that’s N225,000,000 per year.
Is that not worth pursuing?
But wait. There’s more.
If you sell through Amazon, you participate in the KDP Select Global Fund. In May 2026, that fund was worth $70.30 million. Even if you captured just $2,000 from it, you’re now at $182,000 annually. That’s N227,500,000.
And these numbers are conservative. Conservative. You could realistically triple them if you understood book marketing and sales properly.
Multiply It Further
You’re not limited to Amazon.
You can set up evergreen sales funnels that sell your books around the clock on autopilot. While you sleep, your books are generating income.
You can sell on multiple channels – your website, Gumroad, Books-A-Million, Barnes & Noble, Powell’s, Ingram, Selar, Roving Heights, thousands of online bookstores.
Amazon alone covers 70% of the global book market. You could literally go to sleep and wake up to sales.
Some of our clients have launched books and generated eight figures. Not from writing one book. From understanding how to monetize it via a launch strategy.
My Own Story
I thought once I wrote a book, I’d arrived. Nothing could be further from the truth.
I wrote seven books without knowing anything about book marketing and sales.
I consigned 500 copies of my first book to someone I thought I knew. He disappeared with them. Gone.
I lost money. Yes, I lost time. But I didn’t lose trust in people.
But I learned.
My first book, Credit Appraisal & Procedure Handbook, took me from the farms to Lagos. My second book, Bridges to the Customer’s Heart, opened doors to Fortune Global 500 companies.
That’s when I realized: the book wasn’t the product. The book was the vehicle and door.
And I’d been leaving money on the table because I didn’t understand how to market through that door.

Why Most Authors Fail
Here’s the truth most won’t tell you:
Writing the book is 10% of the work.
Marketing the book is 90%.
Most authors write their book, publish it, then wonder why it doesn’t sell. They did the hard part. They expected Amazon to do the rest.
It doesn’t work that way.
You need strategy. You need to understand sales funnels, email marketing, multiple distribution channels, how to create complementary products from your book content.
That’s the knowledge most authors don’t have.
That’s Why THE CLUB Exists
I created THE CLUB (BWC BOOK WRITERS CLUB) because I watched talented authors make the same mistakes I made.
Brilliant people with important messages. But they didn’t know how to monetize those messages. They didn’t understand that a book could become a business.
THE CLUB teaches you exactly that.
Not just how to write a book. But how to market it. How to turn it into courses. How to set up funnels. How to sell across multiple channels. How to build a media empire from one book.
We have professors in THE CLUB. Medical doctors. Consultants. Coaches. All of them figured out what most authors never do: a book isn’t the end product. It’s the beginning of a business.
Your Move
You could write one book and see what happens.
Or you could write one book strategically. Understanding from day one that it’s the foundation of something bigger.
The difference isn’t talent. It’s knowledge.
Five books. Conservative estimates. N225 million per year. That’s not luck. That’s strategy.
