Godwin Benson of Tuteria Inducted Into Legends Network

Be it known to the whole world that Godwin Benson, the co-founder of Tuteria, the online platform that connects learners and competent teachers all over the world, has been inducted into The Legends Network. He will function as a Member Emeritus and an Ambassador of The Legends Network.

It happened at the just concluded Vision & Talent Executive Business Roundtable Luncheon, held 22nd March, at Prime Chinese Restaurant, Victoria Island, Lagos. At the event Mr. Benson apprised members of the genesis and exploits of Tuteria. He mesmerized members how his passion to right a wrong meted on him years earlier ignited the idea and fueled the passion that turned a loss, wrong, minus, setback, cataclysm, into a roaring gain, success, and win.

A first class graduate of University of Lagos, he is a proud alumni of Deloitte and an Akwaibomer (Akwaibomite). Since co-founding Tuteria, of which he is the MD/CEO, Godwin has chucked up an avalanche of awards and prizes, including the Africa Prize for Engineering Innovation by the UK’s Royal Academy of Engineering. He also won the Facebook’s Internet.org Africa Innovation Challenge Prize. That was followed by the New Venture Prize by Harvard Business School and the Innovation Prize for Africa by the Africa Innovation Foundation. He also won the MIT Inclusion Innovation Challenge Prize; the Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurship Award; and the Future Awards for Education in Africa. Mr. Benson was also the 3rd place winner of Pitch@Palace Africa 2017 by the Duke of York.

Tuteria, an online platform that connects learners with world-class, excellent and competent teachers in any subject (be it Physics, Maths, English, Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa, how to write a book, play guitar, etc.).  Tuteria is now the darling of business schools all over the world and Godwin has been featured on BBC Africa, Forbes, FastCompany, Aljazeera, CCTV, and Channels TV amongst others.

An exponential organization, Tuteria was the only African company featured alongside AirBnB, Uber, and CD Baby, at the Full Circle Women Solutions (FCWS) summit at Victoria Island, Lagos, in 2016, and at the Total-Elf Entrepreneurship Development Seminar held for over 200 budding entrepreneurs at Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, in 2017.

It was befitting climax of The Legends Network’s 4th outing that Mr. Godwin Benson, 28, was found a worthy Member Emeritus and Ambassador. Modeled after The Genius Network, of which Sir Richard Branson is a proud member, The Legends Network is an effort to rally Nigeria’s most savvy thought leaders  and entrepreneurial minds under a common platform to dissect the most challenging business issues of the day and percolate ideas for the common good. Godwin has been passionate about advancing Education and Entrepreneurship, and has been a valuable speaker at numerous conferences, including TEDx Yaba. He is a champion of students, youths and budding entrepreneurs locally and internationally.

Africa deserves more Tuteria and global thinkers that can create jobs, build society and make the continent a deserving member of the world community. As Tony Elumelu continues to preach under his Africapitalism mantra, only Africans can develop Africa. Tuteria has blazed a  trail and the members of The Legends Network are watching and will continue to applaud, noting many other worthy ambassadors will follow the footsteps of Godwin Benson and his team to change the Africa story.
