YOU: I deliberately render YOU in UPPER CASE because everything online revolves around YOU.

You’re the:

  • Brand
  • Driver
  • Dreamer
  • Strategist

TOOLS: Also labeled Technology as technology drives the internet.

You need tools or technology to:

  • Scale
  • Communicate
  • Deliver your message
  • Do much everything else

LEARNING: Whenever there is a paradigm shift, learning must begin afresh. The internet is new, barely 40 years in the making. You must stay foolish and stoop to conquer by learning day and night.

We all have to learn how:

  • To write concisely
  • The internet works
  • Social media works
  • To optimize what we produce

 

 

VISIBILITY: If you’re not visible, it means you don’t exist. Everything you do online must shout brand, I exist, here is me. If you don’t promote yourself no one will do it for you. No need to say I’m shy

Visibility means:

  • Being omnipresent
  • Promoting yourself
  • Being the authentic you
  • Positioning as an authority

RELATIONSHIPS: In-ter-net means connecting and relating with people on social media, on your blog, website, and everywhere through text, audio, video and every other way possible.

Building relationships requires:

  • Being an attractive character
  • Knowing how to use social media to connect
  • Being generous with your time, skills, and insights
  • Coming across as being worthy of being connected to

AUDIENCE: The internet is a game of numbers. Being visible and building relationship translates to audience, which enables you to build an email list and eventually monetization.

Note the following about audience:

  • Your biggest asset online is your audience
  • Audience is more important than product
  • Audience is the life blood of online business
  • The bigger you audience the more prosperous you’ll be

PRODUCT: Products and services enable you solve you target customer’s pressing problem. Without a product, it’s very difficult to help customers, monetize and become profitable online.

Your product must:

  • Have demand
  • Emphasize benefits
  • Solve an immediate problem
  • Attract the right mix of customers

MARKETING (& SALES): Your marketing expertise primes your audience to buy. No matter how big your audience and great your product, without effective marketing you’re not going to make much financial progress.

This what you should know about marketing:

  • Marketing > sales > selling
  • Marketing makes selling superfluous
  • Selling confirms your product has value
  • Marketing is more important than sales and advertising

SCALING: Success online has stages: crawling, walking and running. After mastering the basics, it’s time to begin to run. The run stage is when you begin to scale to overcome gravity.

Scaling means:

  • Evolving a new mindset for the road ahead
  • Taking your authority and brand to the next level
  • Knowing the right tools for the next stage of the journey
  • Mapping out comprehensive strategy to win at scale as solopreneur or full stack business
