Make happiness your birthright – life live loud from this day onward.
Too many people chase success but miss happiness.
They pursue followers, fame, or fortune – and end up empty.
Life’s real wealth is joy. Joy in the moment. Joy in the doing. Joy in simply being.
Happiness Is the Real Metric
You can build an eight-figure business.
You can travel to ten countries in a year.
You can even write a bestseller.
But if you’re not happy, what’s the point?
As W. Clement Stone wisely said,
“No matter how carefully you plan your goals, they will never be more than pipe dreams unless you pursue them with gusto.”
Gusto – what a word! It means passion. Fire. Enthusiasm.
And enthusiasm changes everything.
Enthusiasm Is a Superpower
Ralph Waldo Emerson echoed Stone’s insight:
“Every great movement in history is the triumph of enthusiasm.”
Think about that. Every revolution. Every invention. Every book that changed the world began with one person so fired up they couldn’t stay still.
Father John O’Brien of Notre Dame once declared that the first ingredient of success is enthusiasm. Without it, skill and intelligence remain idle.
Ronald Reagan proved this truth through action.
When an assassin’s bullet nearly took his life, he smiled at his wife Nancy and said, “Sorry honey, I forgot to duck.”
That wasn’t just humor – it was spirit. It was optimism in motion.
Happiness Is the Seed of Success
Mother Teresa put it beautifully:
“Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success.”
When you love what you do, you glow. You attract opportunity. You radiate confidence and peace.
And that radiance? That’s what the world responds to.
Happiness is not indulgence – it’s your birthright. It’s fuel for everything you build.
Make Your Own Kind of Music
Life is like music. It needs rhythm, tempo, harmony, and pauses.
Mama Cass Elliot once sang,
“Make your own kind of music, even if nobody else sings along.”
So play your own tune.
Sing your own song.
Create your own rhythm.
You don’t need approval to live loud. You just need enthusiasm and courage.
The Power of Persistence
Napoleon Hill once wrote, “Wake up and live!”
And Ray Kroc, founder of McDonald’s, quoting Calvin Coolidge, said:
“Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.”
Talent isn’t enough.
Genius isn’t enough.
Education isn’t enough.
Persistence wins – and enthusiasm fuels persistence.
When you love the journey, you won’t quit halfway.
Smile, Shine, and Stay Grateful
The Optimists’ Club offers two beautiful promises worth living by:
- Wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile.
- Be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.
Now that’s a creed worth adopting.
Are you ready to move?
