I cried.
We could afford the best university, so why couldn’t I go?
Why couldn’t I enjoy campus life, make friends, and live the dream like everyone else?
The first six months were the hardest.
Every morning, I watched my friends leave for university.
And I stayed at home, asking myself the same painful question: Why me?
But here’s the thing about my brother, he was proof that a different path was possible.
🔥 He never took a job.
🔥 He built his own way.
🔥 A top-rated Upwork developer.
🔥 A YouTuber.
🔥 An AWS Community Builder.
🔥 He built us our dream house.
🔥 He bought the car.
🔥 He gave our family more than we imagined because he chose to build, not follow.
So when he looked at me and said:
“You don’t have to follow their path.
You can do more.
Don’t just wait for opportunities.
Create them.
The digital world is wide open step into it.”
I listened.
And slowly, the pain turned into fire.
Instead of crying, I started learning.
Instead of waiting, I started building.
While my friends studied for exams, I studied the digital world.
While they prepared for jobs, I built my business.
Yes, I did my bachelor’s later.
But by then, I was already independent.
Already proving that mindset matters more than degrees.
And today, I’m proud of one thing:
My family didn’t teach me to chase jobs.
They taught me to build a mindset for business.
Even if it’s small if it’s yours, it’s powerful.
Because sometimes, what feels like the end of one dream is really the beginning of another.
