In this article I want to share with you five super-easy ways to make money without spending money. You may have heard people say that you need money to make money.

While that might have been the case before, today things are different. You can make money without spending too much of your money, thanks to the internet.

The internet makes it possible for you to reach a bigger number of customers compared to what was possible before.  

In this article I will not go into the detailed strategies and tactics but just the basic ideas you need to get started. I will try and simplify things as much as I can so even a complete newbie would understand.

Let’s look at the five super-easy ways to make money without spending money or too much.  Curiously, anybody can use these strategies and become rich and you don’t need the government and a graduate degree. All you need is entrepreneurship.

Set up Airbnb

Setting up Airbnb is a super-easy way to make money thanks to the exploding global tourism industry. Airbnb is an App (Application) that joins home owners with travelers who need a place to stay.

Assuming you have a spare room in your house you can make money by teaming up with Airbnb. While bed and breakfast is nothing new, Airbnb takes the idea to another level.

All you need to do is to download the App and register your house and you can start making money within weeks. Airbnb even guides you on how to make your place attractive to potential customers.

All Airbnb wants is to confirm your place is safe. Once Airbnb verifies your identity, you’re ready for business.

Getting paid can be tricky though if you’re in a country like Nigeria. For some reason, Airbnb can’t send money to Nigeria. Curiously, PayPal doesn’t operate in Nigeria too.  

If Airbnb can’t pay you, you can use a third party in another country to collect payment on your behalf. So the important thing is to start and sort out things as you go.

Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is one of the super-easy ways to make money without spending money. The business involves selling other people’s products for a commission. Affiliate marketing is a business anybody can do with little or no outlay whatsoever, except call credit. However, affiliate marketing is for digital products so knowledge of online business is necessary. Especially important is email marketing, content marketing, social medial marketing to mention a few skills. That said, you can learn online business in say six weeks and begin making money through affiliate marketing.

Drop shipping

Drop shipping is another way of making money without spending money. It involves selling products you don’t have or own. An illustration will be in order here. Let’s say you know where to get beautiful gold plated watches or similarly valuable products for say $100. You can pretend to own those watches and ask interested customers to pay you say $250 to supply the watch. Once they pay you, you can then pay the real owner of the watch and ask him to supply to your customer.

In the process you pocket $150. In some instances, you can actually import the watch and sell directly, but that is not drop shipping but E-Commerce. In pure drop-shipping, you don’t own the products, you only “pretend” to own them. So drop shipping requires technical skills to build a website to showcase “your products.” You also need to know how to build sales funnels and a shopping cart. You also need to know how to do social media adverts, retargeting adverts and so on. If you’re the techy type, drop shipping may be for you.

Private Label Rights

Private Label Rights (PLR) is another way of making money while spending a little money. With PLR you can buy rights to articles, eBooks, software, courses, video, audio and graphics. PLR shaves the time you would have spent creating your own products. It also saves you the money you would have spent hiring ghost writers and editors and other experts. With PLR you can be up and running within hours of obtaining the license to the materials. The beauty with PLR is that you can actually put your name on the products as if you were the author. Indeed, once you pay you become the owner depending on the agreement. So rather than spend months creating articles for your blog, why not consider Private Label Rights?

Ride Share

Since Uber blazed the trail in ride share business, the model has become a billion dollar segment. Uber, just like Airbnb, is an App. All you need is a valid driving license and a vehicle that meets Uber’s minimum specification. Even though we are looking at businesses you can start with little or no cash outlay, you need money to start a ride share business. But all you need to get started in a place like Nigeria is about $4,500. Provided you’re willing to work hard you’ll be able to recover your money in as little as one year.

Airbnb and ride share do not need knowledge of digital marketing. They may be difficult to scale but the two can constitute good sources of income if you do them well.

Affiliate marketing, drop shipping and Private Label Rights require internet business skills. Without knowledge of digital marketing you will not succeed in them. However, if you’re willing to learn how to do business online these three business ideas will make you financially independent.  How soon? I don’t know. All you need to do is to be persistent and consistent.
